Several months ago, after an intense period of writing in Italy... While I was still bubbling with ideas and inspiration, a crazy and amusing idea came to mind for a next book! A kind of experiment; I envisioned spending my entire days on a park bench. The same! For a certain time. A few weeks. Some months. A year. Who knows! And, observe. See what would come out of it; the stories, the inspiration… Discover what I would also possibly witness by contemplating the lives of others and life, in short. An idea that I had simply noted down... Only to then forget it and return to my writing and my current daily life.
 
A few months later, it was finally in Hawaii, Maui more precisely, that I landed. A couple of almost strangers invited me there. And hey, as I had been on the move since leaving Costa Rica, wandering from one place to another, letting myself be carried by the wind and living out of my suitcases, I had simply accepted the invitation. However, from the beginning of this stay which was to last a whole month, I had felt the need to take refuge, alone, from this daily life shared with this couple of intense retirees. Without thinking too much about this old idea, I quite naturally, from the first day of my trip, adopted a park bench, facing the ocean, a bench on which to escape. An excuse to just get out of the house. A secret place of my own!
 
And... Day by day, the situation in the condominium of these strangers had disintegrated... After a little less than two weeks, the feeling of having to leave these places, urgently, had started to make itself felt in me. Intensely. To the point of completely invading me. I couldn't pretend anymore. I couldn't stay any longer. Tolerate. Undergo. I absolutely had to leave this place. Run away… Before it’s too late!
 
In this novel, greatly inspired by my journey to Hawaii, you will find firstly, the quiet dreams of these ten days of singular experimentation, and secondly, the reality and the continuation of this unusual journey that I lived under the blazing sun of Maui.
 
On the menu; experimentation, observations, sun, beaches, crystals, gurus, sects, demons, stress, fear, depraved and sexual perverts, sex, friendship, drugs, alcohol... The island of Maui was definitely going to show me all the colors!
